Hawera Repertory Society
Hawera Repertory was formed in 1946 and has produced well over 150 major productions, providing quality entertainment to the people of South Taranaki. With a proud history of high calibre productions, we generally produce three shows each year either in our club rooms on Collins Street or at the Memorial Theatre.
We are an amateur society and offer opportunities for Actors, Singers and Musicians, persons interested in backstage craft including Properties, Costumes, Lighting Sound, Directing, Set Construction and Stage Crew, Musical Direction and Choreography.
The Society has a diverse range of members offering their collective skills. There are always opportunities for people with a wide range of skills to become involved, and in return, experience a fun loving and entertaining group of people.
With a membership that is growing every year the future looks very strong for Hawera Repertory. We will continue to provide opportunities within the preforming arts to both performers and backstage crew and endeavour to keep this a strong part of the South Taranaki community, as we as providing entertainment to our audiences.
Hawera Repertory acknowledges support on a regular basis from Harris Taylor Ltd, Halliwells, Zodiac Signs, Weir Bros.
Hawera Repertory Society Inc. is a member of Musical Theatre New Zealand and The New Zealand Theatre Federation.
Hawera Repertory is nothing without it's members and committee, and we are indeed fortunate to have the services of the following people to help steer our Society.
